The Polkadot Builder Party is a campaign to onboard new Web2 and Web3 developers into Polkadot. It combines a 6-week online hackathon, physical meetups around the globe, and a social media campaign. It starts on 6th October, leads to Sub0 and concludes shortly after. The thematic focus is on building “radically open, radically useful” apps that leverage Polkadot 2.0, parachains, and related technologies. It is supported by the Web3 Foundation, Parity, and many teams in the ecosystem.

Co-Host the Hackathon

We would love to have your product as part of the hackathon! We are partnering with Devpost, a hackathon platform with a strong Web2 cloud developer community. The prize pool stands at $40,000. Our goal is to leverage the Polkadot Cloud framing and bring Web2 developers with open minds into our space.

Hackathon timeline:

• Hackathon Start: 6th October, 2025
• Final Submissions: 17th November 2025
• Community Voting & Judging Period: 18th November - 1st December
• Winner Announcements: 8th December
